Love and Breast Cancer

This blog is typically dedicated to food and random stuff I find at antique malls and flea markets (or Target:), but I went to post some food and all I can think about is mom, so here goes, short and sweet personal post…

It’s been almost a year since my mom’s breast cancer diagnosis. This tiny yet incredibly strong woman underwent 8 rounds of chemo, a double mastectomy and 28 radiation treatments. This past Tuesday was the last of radiation, hallelujah! One more surgery for reconstruction, and hopefully this will all be behind us. Mom, you inspire me everyday, your courage, grace and unending love for everyone who crosses your path, especially your family, is breathtaking. Love, love, love you. (and so does Austin, Texas graffiti)

This is the coolest and sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. Read it a while back but kept forgetting to comment. Love you both!
